RCMA — the Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association— is the national trade association representing the manufacturers of cold-applied coatings and cements used for roofing and waterproofing, as well as the suppliers of products, equipment, and services to and for the industry.

Founded in 1983, RCMA is dedicated to advancing product technology and to ensure an ongoing supply of quality energy-efficient materials to meet the needs of contractors, consumers and the environment. Through its foresight, commitment and action, RCMA has grown to become a respected voice in the building construction industry and is now recognized as the premier association in the roof coatings manufacturing and supply industry. RCMA On Sustainable & Energy Efficient Coatings:

The Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association is working to set the record straight about energy efficient coatings. Our membership represents manufactures and raw materials suppliers of energy efficient coatings that can be considered part of a cool roofing solution.

RCMA believes "Cool Roofing" is not just white. There is a full compliment of colors including aluminum (silver/grey in color) in a bituminous asphalt base and various white coatings that have been tinted with pigments that can be classified as energy efficient coatings.
