RCMA RELEASES NEWEST TECH NOTE
“METAL ROOFING"
[Washington, DC] – The Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association [RCMA] announces the release and availability of its newest TECH NOTE on the subject of METAL ROOFING.
The new RCMA TECH NOTE has been published by the RCMA as a part of the continuing development and release of a series of cold-applied roof coatings technical bulletins. The newest bulletin provides information on the various coatings for metal panels, including asphalt and polymeric [elastomeric] coatings; evaluation and inspection of the roof surface for application and preventative maintenance; and specifics for coating the metal panels.
The newest RCMA TECH NOTE is the fourth informational document. Other TECH NOTES include the previously issued bulletins:
-
“Cold Weather Application Tips for Roof Coatings”
-
“Use of Primers Prior to Roof Coatings”
-
“Recommendations for the Application of Aluminum Coatings”
All of the TECH NOTES were developed and prepared by the RCMA Technical Committee, and have the approval of the Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association.
The recommendations are for informational purposes only. The recommendations are not intended to revoke or change the requirements or specifications of the individual roofing material manufacturer or local, state or federal building officials that have jurisdiction in an area. Any question or inquiry as to the requirements or specification of a manufacturer should be directed to the roofing manufacturer concerned.
To request a complimentary copy of any of the RCMA TECH NOTES, or to learn more about the RCMA, its member companies and their products, contact the RCMA at: 202-207-0919, or visit the RCMA’s user-friendly website at: www.roofcoatings.org.
The Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association is the national trade association representing the manufacturers of cold-applied roof coatings and cements, as well as the suppliers of products, services, and equipment to the industry.
