RCMA ANNOUNCES NEW 2007 LEADERSHIP TEAM
SALAZAR CONTINUES AS RCMA PRESIDENT

[Washington, DC] – The Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association [RCMA] reaffirmed their 2007 Officers, and elected and installed their new members of the Board of Directors and new Committee chairs at the RCMA 2007 Annual Membership Meeting, held in conjunction with their 2007 Annual Conference & EXPO, January 13-17, 2007, at the Hilton Cancun Golf and Spa Resort, Cancun, Mexico.

Chris Salazar, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Karnak Corporation, Clark, New Jersey, continues as the Association’s president. Salazar was initially elected to a two year term in 2006.

All of the RCMA officers are elected for a term of two-years.

The other RCMA Officers elected are:
 
Vice President Long Range Planning: Brian Anthony, Vice President of Industrial Products, The Brewer Company, Milford, OH.

Secretary-Treasurer: W.J. “Skip” Leonard, Director of Technical Service, Henry Company, Garland, TX. 

Elected to fill the open 3-year term (White Coatings Council) member company seat on the RCMA Board of Directors was:

Steve Heinje, Vice President, Research, United Coatings, Spokane Valley, Washington.

Re-elected to fill three 3-year regular [manufacturer] member company seats on the RCMA Board of Directors were:

Jeff Blank, SR Products, Inc, Cleveland, Ohio
W.J. “Skip” Leonard, Henry Company, Garland, Texas
( * ) Van Ripps, Palmer Asphalt Company, Bayonne, New Jersey

( * ) Former RCMA president Van Ripps, President, Palmer Asphalt Company, Bayonne, New Jersey, was re-elected to fill one of the three manufacturer member seats on the Board of Directors. Upon re-election, he choose to resign in order to allow the appointment of Joseph Mellott to provide continuity in the Association leadership. The Board of Directors adopted an unanimous commendation praising Mr. Ripps for his leadership and service to the Association.

Then, in subsequent action, the Board of Directors appointed to fill the unexpired term: 

Joseph W. Mellott, Director of Technology, The Garland Company, Cleveland, Ohio

Elected to fill the one Associate (supplier) member company seat on the Board of Director was Peter Ciszek, Vice President of Sales, Phoenix Container, Inc, North Brunswick, New Jersey.

In addition to the above denoted, the incumbent members of the RCMA Board of Directors continuing in office are:

The RCMA approved the appointment of the two new 2007 Committee Chairs, as follows:
