International Roof Coatings Conference
Call For Abstracts
Dallas, TX | October 18 – 21, 2027
In conjunction with the RCMA 2027 Fall Meeting, the International Roof Coatings Conference (IRCC) builds on a long-standing tradition of bringing together manufacturers, formulators, contractors, building owners, facility managers, designers, researchers, and public-sector stakeholders to share practical learning and advance roof coating technologies. Past programs have combined peer-reviewed technical presentations with real-world case studies, structured session tracks, and dedicated networking opportunities.
We invite abstracts and presentation proposals for the 2027 International Roof Coatings Conference (IRCC), to be held at The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa on October 18–21, 2027. The program will feature technical and business-focused sessions on innovation, performance, sustainability, standards, and market adoption of roof coating technologies. Topics are aligned to the conference agenda, including Tuesday’s sessions on new developments and technology, Contractors/Consultants panel and Wednesday’s sessions on economics, innovation, and reflective/cool roof programming.
1. Suggested Topic Areas | Other Topics Welcome
- Sustainability (e.g., product category rules, LCA, how Environmental Product Declarations [EPDs] are used by designers, specifiers, etc.; how coatings help reduce waste, promote well-being, etc.; chemical transparency, safer chemistry, procurement requirements, audits; codes, standards)
- Water exposure and ponded-water performance (e.g., failure modes, formulation strategies, test methods, field lessons learned)
- Innovation and Emerging Technology (e.g., weathering simulation methods, correlation to real-world exposure, durability metrics; cool roof coatings, stay-clean performance, hybrid chemistries including silane-based systems, high performance elastomerics, PMMA, PUMA, marketing innovation, adoption barriers)
- Field Application and Quality (e.g., use of drones for inspection, measurement, thermal analysis and documentation; case studies; coating aged single-ply, moisture entrapment; surface prep methods, adhesion, moisture considerations, QA/QC and inspection)
- Roof system decision-making (e.g., preservation vs. restoration, thin vs. thick film strategies, risk and warranty considerations)
- Building Owner/Facility Managers Perspectives (e.g., cost/benefit and payback models, affordable housing applications, total cost of ownership, peak demand reduction, grid impacts, modeling and measurement, life cycle cost analysis [LCCA] maintenance cycles, sensitivity analyses)
2. Submission Formats
- Oral presentation (30 minutes including Q&A)
- Case study/lessons learned (field performance, implementation, or program outcomes)
- Panel proposal (moderator plus 3–5 panelists)
3. Abstract Requirements
4. Key Dates
