The 2026 RCMA Spring Meeting will bring together industry leaders, technical experts, and innovators for a full day of education, collaboration, and insight into the future of roof coatings. This year’s program features sessions on estimating best practices, material performance, environmental considerations, and emerging trends shaping the coatings industry.
New for 2026, we’re introducing special contractor-focused sessions featuring hands-on guidance, practical estimating strategies, and real-world discussions tailored for roofing contractors.
Explore our full lineup of sessions, panelists, and speakers—and make plans to join us at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in the West Hall of rooms 309 and 310, for a day of valuable learning ahead of IRE.
Beyond Reflectivity: The Future of Cool Roof Technology
Jordan Fourcher
Founder & CEO of Cryo X Co
10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
CryoPaint can cool a sky-facing roof surface by up to 15°F below the air temperature, without electricity, and that single capability changes what “cool roof performance” can mean. This session introduces Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling (PDRC) and explains how radiative cooling coatings surpass conventional reflective coatings by simultaneously rejecting solar heat and emitting heat through the 8–13 µm atmospheric window.
Attendees will learn the practical, jobsite-relevant drivers of real-world results: why sky-facing orientation and sky-view matter, how cloud cover acts as the primary gatekeeper of performance, and how humidity, wind, and roof geometry influence outcomes. The talk will also cover installation considerations (including coating mass/thickness), where PDRC coatings fit best today (and where they don’t), and what this advancement may mean for roof thermal performance, durability, and energy efficiency in the next generation of the roof coatings industry.
Demystifying EPDs: What They Are and How to Use Them
Jack Geibig
President at Ecoform
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Maximizing Profitability Through Accurate Roof Coating Estimates
John T. Hull
President at Gulf Coast Infrared, LLC – Instructor at American Roofing Educators – Founder at Hull Group Inc.
12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
This contractor-focused session will guide attendees through the core elements of building accurate and profitable roof coating estimates. John Hull will cover how to properly evaluate a roof, identify required repairs, and determine restoration eligibility. He’ll also outline best practices for staging, sequencing, and surface preparation to avoid costly delays.
Contractors will learn how to calculate realistic material quantities, estimate labor based on application methods and roof conditions, and account for environmental factors such as humidity, dew point, and cure times. Designed to provide practical, real-world guidance, this session will help contractors improve estimating precision and overall project profitability.
The Competitive Edge: Why Contractors should offer Roof Coatings
Megan Ellsworth
MultiMedia Director, RoofersCoffeeShop, Moderator
Josh Poole
Director of Product Management at Tremco CPG Inc., RCMA President
Ryan Blad
Chemist/Technical Sales, 838 Coatings
Chris Huettig
Vice President, Technical Services & Client Relations, KARNAK Corporation
Cody Wilson
President, Unicoat Industrial Roofing Corp.
1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Roof coatings give roofing contractors a valuable way to extend the life of low-slope systems—including PVC, EPDM, TPO, APP, SBS, and metal—while offering customers cost-effective, sustainable solutions for maintenance and repair. This session will outline the key benefits of today’s coating technologies—such as waterproofing, UV protection, flexibility, and energy efficiency—and explain how different coating types perform across various roofing materials.
Attendees will also hear real-world success stories from contractors who have strengthened their businesses by integrating coatings into their service offerings. The panel will focus on delivering practical, actionable insights that contractors can immediately apply, from extending roof service life and boosting energy savings to providing customers with sustainable alternatives to full roof replacements.
ICONIC SPHERICAL ROOFING IN LAS VEGAS USING COATED SPRAY FOAM: How COVID Challenges Created New Opportunities in Safety, Logistics & Installation Innovation
Will Lorenz
President at General Coatings Manufacturing Corp.
2:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
This session will explore the new-construction spray foam roofing application used on a challenging, high-profile concrete dome—specifically, the roofing of Las Vegas’s newest iconic entertainment center. Attendees will learn how the project team navigated complex hurdles, including COVID-19 safety requirements, logistical constraints, fire classification standards, and installation best practices, while building a strong, collaborative contractor partnership that helped drive the project’s success.
